A ‘smart’ or connected building enabled by technology and data improves facilities management, operations, and overall efficiency. The smart/IoT market – currently valued at more than $15 Billion USD – is projected to reach $137 Billion USD by 2023 and is an area of growth for all building operations in all spaces. Smart technology offers facility and property managers significant value, including operational efficiencies, improved sustainability and cost-savings, data and insights, reduction of risk, and happier tenants.

Murray Johnson, Vice President, Client Operations, Crossbridge Condominium Services Ltd.
Murray is the Vice President of Client Operations with Crossbridge Condominium Services Ltd. (a Brookfield company) and has been managing residential properties for over twenty five years, and before that, facilities for nearly fifteen years. Murray has become an expert in residential energy management, the Tarion construction deficiency resolution process and is a frequent speaker and lecturer in the condominium industry across Canada.
As a director on the CCI-T board, Murray continues to champion on behalf of condominium consumers and is invited to sit on many committee’s and boards to further consumer protection. With a portfolio of over 80,000 residential condominium suites, Murray is afforded the opportunity to experience first hand the challenges of managing condominium corporations.
Rob Pallante, Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Eddy Solutions
Rob is a seasoned business development executive with more than 20 years of leadership and management experience most recently consulting in transportation telematic technologies, mobile applications and cloud data that has helped companies drive growth, profitability and efficiencies resulting in substantial gains.
Michael Partnoy, Senior Account Executive, Hub International
Michael is a 19-year veteran in the insurance industry, 15 of which as a senior broker with Hub International. Michael actively services a multi-million commercial lines premium portfolio where he is primarily responsible for property and commercial liability. Michael provides hands-on service and strategic expertise in ensuring the right coverage for the right client. The Hub provides a broad array of Property, Casualty and Automobile insurance, as well as Life and Health, Employee Benefits, Travel Insurance, Professional Liability, Director’s and Officer’s Liability and many other risk management products and services.
William Correia, Senior Property Manager, Royal Bank Plaza at Oxford Properties Group
William is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and has been in property management since he finished school in 1996. After 15 years of managing shopping centres for Cadillac Fairview, Riocan and Colliers International, William led a team managing over 2 million square feet of retail, industrial, office and residential properties for the DMS Group. He joined Oxford Properties in 2018 at the Royal Bank Plaza and currently manages 1.5 million square feet of office and retail.
Scott Dawdy, National Director Development Manager - Energy and Digital Services, EllisDon
Scott joined EllisDon in 2013 and has over 35 years of construction-centric experience, having worked in commercial, government and public sectors. As the National Business Development Manager for EllisDon Energy and Digital Services, he is responsible for the development of pre and post services to new and existing buildings. This includes the strategic planning, implementation and design of converged building networks. His skill set includes advanced knowledge on communications (data and voice), wireless, DAS, Security, LAN and WLAN infrastructure design.
Scott manages several client portfolios that have a national foot print . Projects currently being developed include residential towers, commercial towers and existing asset development. The residential projects will be among the first towers with a full converged network and a CMP ( Centralized Management Platform).
